An apparatus for measuring capacitance of a thyristor and an estimating method of forward and reverse breaking voltage of the thyristor using the same are provided to diagnose lifetime or reliability of the thyristor by periodically checking the capacitance of the thyristor. A thyristor is seated on a jig(110). An LCR meter(120) is electrically connected to the thyristor to measure capacitance of the thyristor. A bias coupler(130) is interposed between the thyristor and the LCR meter. A high-voltage supply device is electrically connected to the bias coupler. A data converter(150) is electrically connected to a load cell installed in the jig to convert an electric signal into a digital signal. A main controller(160) is electrically connected to the LCR meter, the high-voltage supply device, and the data converter.
