<p>The wheel has identical components (1) which are fitted around the running wheel complete periphery with adjacent nave segments arranged side-by-side and joined to one another to form a cohesive nave after mechanical machining of at least the blade surfaces and the water path sides of the nave segment (2) and the belt segment (3). Adjacent belt segments are arranged side-by-side and joined to each other to form a cohesive, all-round belt. The nave segments are joined to each other by at least some of the types of union which include screw unions, weld unions, adhesive unions, wedge unions and rivet unions. The belt segments are likewise joined to one another by at least some of the same types of unions. Even the edge surfaces (34,35,38,44,46,48) on the nave segments and belt segments which are turned towards each other in the installed running wheel are mechanically machined before the nave segments and the belt segments are joined to one another to form a cohesive, all-round nave and belt.</p> |
