PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate damage measuring instrument capable of solving problems caused by variations in the moving speed of a sliding plate, improving measurement accuracy of the damage length on a sliding face, and further improving reliability of the instrument. SOLUTION: The plate damage measuring instrument includes: a measuring instrument main body 2 having an injection hose 4, which is fitted to the front end part of a nozzle 17 and injects air into a sliding opening/closing device 14, and a sucking hose 5, which sucks the air injected from the injection hose 4 and returned from the sliding opening/closing device 14; a regulator, which is connected to an outer air source and regulates the pressure of the air injected from the measuring instrument main body 2; a pressure sensor for measuring the pressure of the air that is regulated by the regulator and injected from the injection hose 4, and measuring the pressure of the air that is suctioned from the sucking hose 5; and a moving distance measuring instrument 21 for measuring the moving distance of a sliding plate 16.
