<p>The refrigerator and/or freezerhas a heat transfer circuit provided with a magnetic cooler (10) and a pump (100) for conveying heat transfer medium through the circuit. The pump is designed and controlled such that central absolute pressure in the circuit or pressure on a pressure side of the pump lies in the range from 1.0 to 2.0 bars. The circuit has a cold heat exchanger (20) for cooling a refrigeration and/or freezing compartment of the refrigerator and/or freezer. The heat transfer circuit has valves (30, 40) e.g. monostable or bistable valves for guiding heat transfer medium.</p>
