PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel compartment line recognition system capable of appropriately using recognized travel compartment lines.SOLUTION: A travel compartment line recognition system 40 provided with a front camera 21 imaging a travel lane in front of an own vehicle 50 and at least one situation acquisition device 20 acquiring an acquisition value representing a situation of the own vehicle 50 and differing from the front camera 21, comprises: recognition means for recognizing travel compartment lines defining the travel lane from an image picked up by the front camera 21; reliability setting means for setting the reliability of the travel compartment lines recognized by the recognition means on the basis of the acquisition value acquired by the situation acquisition device 20; and travel assist means for exerting a travel control over the own vehicle 50 on the basis of the travel compartment lines recognized by the recognition means when the reliability set by the reliability setting means is higher than a first threshold, and for issuing a deviation warning indicating that the own vehicle deviates from the travel lane on the basis of the travel compartment lines recognized by the recognition means when the reliability is lower than the first threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
