GATE VALVE FOR PREVENTING OF CAVITATION AND VIBRATION

The present invention relates to a gate valve for preventing cavitation and vibration, capable of reducing cavitation and vibration caused by a sudden increase in a flow rate by partly allowing a fluid flow in the initial stage of opening using a simple internal structure. The gate valve for preventing cavitation and vibration includes a valve body with a chamber connected to a flow passage and upper and lower opening and closing members opening the flow passage when a distance between the upper and lower opening and closing members is increased and closing the flow passage when the upper and lower opening and closing members are in contact with each other by being installed in the upper and lower sides to correspond to each other to move upward and downward. Multiple protrusions and recesses, which are formed lengthways in a longitudinal direction, are formed by turns in a transverse direction in the underside of the upper opening and closing member and a top surface of the lower opening and closing member facing each other, thus the gate valve for preventing cavitation and vibration partly allows the flow of the fluid through the gap between the protrusions and the recesses priorly in the early stage of the separation of the upper and lower opening and closing units.
