PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a structure of a bearing cap, capable of effectively discharging foreign matter having entered a holder insertion hole or a holder support portion.SOLUTION: At a bottom plate portion 39 forming a bearing cap 33, there is provided a bottomed holder insertion portion 46 into which a tip portion of a rod-like main body portion forming a sensor holder is to be inserted. Around an opening of the holder insertion portion 46, there is provided a holder support portion 47 protruding axially inward from an axially inside surface of the bottom plate portion 39, for supporting an intermediate portion of the holder main body portion without rattling. The holder support portion 47 is formed by four holder poles 48a, 48b, thus causing the holder support portion 47 to have gaps 56a, 56b, 56c at multiple places on the circumference of the holder support portion, for discharging foreign matter to the outside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
