PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide agonists of guanylate cyclase useful for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia, atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, gallstone, obesity and other cardiovascular diseases.SOLUTION: This invention also provides a method to prevent, control, and treat lipid metabolism disorder, biliary disorder, cardiovascular disease, obesity or endocrine disorder by administering at least one agonist of guanalyte cyclase receptor either alone or in combination with a compound typically used to treat lipid metabolism disorder, biliary disorder, cardiovascular disease, obesity or endocrine disorder and/or with an inhibitor of cGMP-dependent phosphodieasterase.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
