摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shell-and-tube heat exchanger having uniform and high heat exchange efficiency, and capable of coping with a large amount of exchange heat amount compactly.SOLUTION: A shell 1 includes an inlet header 3A and an outlet header 3B for first fluid L1, a header 3C for connection, and a supply port 5A and a discharge port 5B for second fluid L2. In the shell, a plurality of tube units U1, U2 is vertically mounted, the tube units formed into such a doughnut shape that a plurality of heat exchange tubes 2 is respectively wound in a lateral vortex manner and arranged in a vertical multistage manner. The respective heat exchange tubes 2 of the tube units U1, U2 are connected to any of the inlet header 3A, the outlet header 3B and the header 3C for connection through a doughnut-shaped center space 20. By sequentially feeding first fluid L1, inflowing from the inlet header 3A, from the tube unit U1 on a side close to the discharge port 5B to the next tube unit U2 through the header 3C for connection, heat exchange is performed with the whole flows of first fluid L1 and second fluid L2 made vertically opposite to each other in the shell 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
