PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of examining a seal easily.SOLUTION: The display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a seal. The first substrate includes a shift register formed monolithically on an insulating substrate, and a plurality of bus lines. The shift register includes a plurality of unit circuits connected in multiple stages. Each of the unit circuits includes a clock terminal, an output terminal, an output transistor having one of a source and a drain connected to the clock terminal and the other connected to the output terminal, and a boot strap capacitor having a first terminal connected to a gate of the output transistor and a second terminal connected to the output terminal. The boot strap capacitor includes a first electrode, an insulating layer on the first electrode, and a second electrode on the insulating layer. The first electrode is provided with a first notch and/or a first opening. The second electrode is provided with a second notch and/or a second opening opposite to the first notch and/or the first opening.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
