A dispenser-closure 11 for a container, e.g. a bag or liner 10, comprises a spout 12 and a diaphragm 15 of elastomeric material which forms a seal against an annular abutment 12f on the spout and may be distorted by manual pressure on a member 15c to break the seal, thereby allowing liquid L in the container to flow out through an opening 14d in the skirt 14 of the closure. Since the diaphragm is prestressed it will snap back and re-seal, when released. The opening 14d may be positioned inwardly of the edge 14a of the skirt 14 so that the diaphragm may be attached to the skirt about its entire periphery, Fig. 8 (not shown). Alternatively, the opening may be in the wall of the spout and the skirt shortened or eliminated, Figs. 9 and 10 (not shown). The spout and diaphragm may be integral, with ,the seal formed on a ring (54) pressfitted through the open end of the spout, Fig. 11 (not shown), before the spout is bonded to the container. |
