In a semi-permanent memory, a conductor (e.g. printed) sequentially threads apertures in a magnetic sheet, each pair of apertures being capable of storing one bit, a short-circuiting loop being completed about the magnetic material between the apertures of each pair required to store " O " (say). The pieces of short-circuiting bridging conductor for bit locations at the sheet edges may " bend" over the edge so they may be broken by an abrasive or scraping tool after manufacture. The conductor may form the sense conductor with corresponding bit locations in a plurality of such sheets linked by respective interrogate wires, each passing through one aperture in each sheet in turn then the other. The sense conductors and interrogate wires may be interchanged in function. |
