PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide color photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity but yet prevented from pressure fogging by incorporating flat silver iodobromide having an average aspect ratio of a specified value or more, and forming at least one or more emulsion layers having a specified AgI concn. distribution in each grain of those layers. CONSTITUTION:The multilayer color photosensitive material contains in one or more emulsion layers flat silver halide grains having an aspect ratio of 3/1-20/1 (the diameter of a circle equal in area to the projected image of the grain/the thickness of the two principal parallel planes of the grain), and an AgI concn. distribution decreasing from the central part of the flat plates toward the outer part, abbreviated to RP grains. The photosensitive material thus obtained can be prevented form pressure fogging due to rubbing and scratching occurring in the manufacturing process, packaging, and other handling, and yet it can retain high sensitivity, and also, photographic characteristics unaffected by variation of development conditions, and further it is superior in each of graininess, sharpness, color reproduction performance, etc. |
