PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To polish the defect part of mating material surface only at the initial time of use and thereafter to prevent the continuous polishing to the same by localizing the existence of metal filler which is mixed in a seal lip formation material at the time of formation. SOLUTION: Before the formation, a liquid type matrix 17 and ferromagnetic polishing particles 18 being a metal filler are mixed and poured into a forming mold. The particles 18 is thus scatterd in the matrix 17. Thereafter, the part corresponding to the sliding surface of seal lip is moved in close to the magnetized mold and moved to a slin layer 1B. As a result, the particles center at the layer 1B to form a metal polishing particle localizing layer 11. Accordingly, after the defect part of mating material is polished at the initial stage of use, the layer 11 is worn due to the wear of seal lip itself so that the continuos polishing to the mating material is prevented. |
