<p>Shaped articles are produced on the bases of opt. foamed and opt. crosslinked polyolefines using a mixture contg. (a) >=50 wt % of a polyolefine (pref. polyethylene and/or polypropylene); (b) is not >50 wt % of a halogenated polymer (pref. PVC or a copolymer of vinyl chloride); and (c) a plasticiser and/or extender in an amt. =200 wt % w.r.t. the halogen-contg. polymer, but is not >30 wt % w.r.t. the total polymer content. A blowing agent and/or crosslinking agent (pref. organic peroxide) can be added. Articles of high strength and varying hardness (depending on the amt. of plasticiser) can be produced. A wire variety of plasticisers compatible with PVC can be used.</p> |
