Tool correction circuit in numerical control system - has interpolator with circuit for modifying path resolution power
摘要

The switching circuit is used for tool correction in numerical path control systems in machine tools. The tools have equipment for incremental feed using a digital path interpolator which employs a conventional step by step search method. The path data are corrected by linear interpolation along the path normal up to the identification of the end of interpolation on reaching the specified cutter radius. A forward and backwards interpolator is provided and the interpolation direction can be changed over on identification of the interpolation end together with simultaneous increase of the resolving power which can be controlled in relation to the size of the specified cutter radius.
