The derivatives have the general formula <IMAGE> in which X is a hydrogen atom or a methyl, phenyl or benzyl group; Y is a carbon chain comprising 2 to 6 carbon atoms, saturated or unsaturated, unsubstituted or substituted by alkyl, alkoxyl or halogen groups, said chain including if necessary, instead and in place of an aliphatic link, a carbonyl or alcohol group; Z is constituted by a hydrogen atom or defines at least an alkyl, alkoxyl or halogen group fixed at any position of the quinolinyl nucleus. They have high anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities.
