<p>PURPOSE:To make the moment of inertia bigger and to obtain a good hitting feeling by setting a back part, which is composed of a material with lighter specific gravity than the material used for heel and toe parts, on the backside of the sweet spot of the impact face in the hollow part of the main body. CONSTITUTION:A hollow 41 is formed on the back face 4 and heel 5 and toe 6 are formed thick to form a main body 20 with an increased moment of inertia. At least on the back side of the sweet spot 30 of the impact face 3 of the hollow part 41 of the main body 20, a back part 21 consisting of a material with a smaller specific gravity than the material used for the heel 5 and toe 6 is set. When soft iron or stainless steel is used for the main body 20, titanium or aluminum is suitable for the material for the back part 21. By this, a good hitting feeling is obtained without hurting the big moment of inertia of the advantage of the cavity back type golf club head.</p> |
