2-Aminoheptane monoacetate

The present application relates to 2-aminoheptane monoacetate of the formula C7H17N.C2H4O2, to a haemostatic agent which contains this 2-aminoheptane monoacetate as the active compound, to a haemostatic agent in the form of a spray dressing which likewise contains this 2-aminoheptane monoacetate, and to a process for preparing the 2-aminoheptane monoacetate by mixing two equimolar volumes of 2-aminoheptane and glacial acetic acid.
