The invention and the utility model are concerned with a method for improving traffic safety by using a self-adhering special transparent film. Glass surfaces on a motor vehicle, aeroplane, high-speed boat etc. which have become largely obscured by dirt, insects and/or ice can be quickly cleaned at any time and without a particular degree of expenditure by using a special transparent film. This method constitutes a substantial improvement with respect to the previously known cleaning and washing of the glass surfaces in order to restore adequate visibility.
