PURPOSE:To give linearity to the edge of the edge part of an elastic member which contacts a magnet roll or photosensitive drum by forming plural grooves in the edge part at right angles to the edge. CONSTITUTION:A scraper 10 has plural grooves 16, 16- at right angles to its edge 15. When this scraper is pressed against the magnet roll 6 by a fixing member 9, the scraper deformed at the grooves 16, 16- by press-contacting force from the fixing member 9 to has an equalizing function even if there is a gap between the surface of the magnet roll and the contacting edge of the scraper, obtaining the linearity of the edge which contacts the magnet roll. Therefore, the edge of the scraper which contacts the magnet roll is brought into contact uniformly over the entire surface and there is no gap left between the magnet roll and scraper. |
