PURPOSE:To efficiently break microcapsules and transfer to a color developer surface an oil flowing out from the microcapsules and thereby obtain a high developed color density, by providing a coated layer comprising microcapsules as a main component on an undercoat layer which flocculates the microcapsules. CONSTITUTION:A coating liquid comprising microcapsules as a main component is applied to the undercoat layer which flocculates the microcapsules. The undercoat layer consists mainly of a flocculant for flocculating the microcapsules. A water-soluble binder, a latex, a pigment, a water repellent, a particulate protective agent or the like may be added to the undercoat layer, if required. In this case, it is necessary to use such a combination of undercoating substances that an undercoating liquid is not flocculated. The pigment, the water repellent or the like may have a function of flocculating the microcapsules. The undercoating liquid is preferably applied by an on- machine coater such as a size press, a bill blade and a gate roll. |
