PURPOSE:To obtain the head which is provided with high reliability by stable output waveforms by alternately forming high surfaces and low surfaces to the surfaces of a thin film magnetic film forming a magnetic pole in the direction where the magnetic fields of reading-out signals are impressed. CONSTITUTION:Plural stripe-shaped very small steps 10 extending in the direction of an arrow 8 perpendicular to the direction where the magnetic fields of the reading-out signals are impressed are provided to the upper magnetic pole 2, by which the high surfaces and the low surfaces are formed thereon alternately in the direction where the magnetic fields of the reading-out signals are impressed. Stable magnetic domains are, therefore, generated in the direction of the arrow 8 and the axis of easy magnetization of the magnetic film is more easily oriented perpendicular to the direction where the magnetic fields of the reading-out signals are impressed. The yield in quality control which is heretofore not stabilized even by the stringent control of protective alumina films, coil materials, etc., is improved in this way and the linear output materials, etc., is improved in this way and the linear output waveforms are obtd. The head having the high reliability is thus obtd. |
