PURPOSE:To obtain the magnetic head which obviates the dependency of a magnetic flux concentrating effect on frequencies and obviates the decrease of reproducing efficiency as well by winding a spiral coil consisting of a superconducting material around a main magnetic pole end part facing a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head is constituted of the main magnetic pole 11, an auxiliary core 12 and the superconducting coil 14. The coil 14 is disposed in a plane spiral form to the side at the front end of the main magnetic pole 11 facing the recording medium 15 and an insulating material 14 is packed into the inter-coil spacings. The superconducting material exhibits complete diamagnetism by a Meissner effect and shuts off the implantation of the magnetic flux at the time of recording and reproducing. The magnetic flux route is, therefore, limited only to the main magnetic pole 11 by the superconducting material disposed around the main magnetic pole 11, by which the high sensitivity is obtd. This limitation does not depend on frequencies. Since the coil position is in proximity to the recording medium 15, the decrease of output arising form the leakage of the magnetic flux at the time of reproducing is prevented. |
