PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts for a surface mounting male connector and permit higher density and precision by forming linear contact areas encircling a reversely T-shaped and bar insulated base material by means of double- mold making of conductive resin. CONSTITUTION:A male connector 2 is of integral bar mold makeup which has a reversely T-shaped cross section and comprises a base portion 21 shaped in a square cross section at a lower part and an inserting portion 22 projected therefrom. On a bar surface linear contact areas 23 are formed so as to encircle the outer periphery. The areas 23 comprise the second mold portions which are adhesively formed in a linear shape by means of double mold of plating- applicable resin at a groove portion 24a of an insulation base material 24 of the first mold makeup by means of plating-unapplicable resin, and has its surface adhesively formed with a plating layer of three-layer structure, Cu and Ni/Au. A high-density connector containing one parts with elimination of the process of implanting a contact can be manufactured at low cost. |
