摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet image receiving material having photograph like strong gloss not only in the non-printing part but also printing part thereof and an ink jet image receiving material usable as an OHP sheet and high in transparency in an image receiving material used in a full-color ink jet recording system becoming much in the amt. of ink applied per a unit area. SOLUTION: In an ink jet image receiving material wherein an ink image receiving layer is provided on at least the single surface of a support, the ink image receiving layer contains at least gelatin and the contact angle of the surface thereof to a 20wt.% glycerine aq. soln. is 80 deg. or less. This image receiving material can be obtained by applying a coating soln. containing at least gelatin for the ink image receiving layer to a support at temp. higher than the gelling temp. of the coating soln. and drying the coated support at temp. higher than the gelling temp. in such a state that the coating soln. has flowability to form the ink image receiving layer.
