PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the nickel electrode for an alkaline storage battery, which is excellent in performance at the high temperature, and is long in life. SOLUTION: At least one kind or more of a single substance of an element selected from the group of Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu and Y or its compounds, are added to active material mostly composed of nickel hydroxide containing at least one kind or more of element selected from the group of Co, Zn, Cd and Mg in a state of solid solution. |
