REFRACTORY FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING AND ITS MANUFACTURE

摘要

PURPOSE:To satisfy a basic characteristic obtd. to a brake ring for a horizontal continuous casting equipment and particularly to offer a refractory excellent in corrosion resistance bearing long time casting of a stainless steel and a high alloy steel as well as a carbon steel. CONSTITUTION:This refractory is constituted by blending 5-70wt.% boron nitride(BN)-based raw material, 25-85wt.% silicon nitride (Si3N4)-based and 3-15wt.% metallic aluminum(Al) and mixing each constituting raw material and sintering the obtd. raw material at 1600-1900 deg.C sintering temp. in the non-oxidizing atmosphere after forming.
