TREATMENT OF INORGANIC SLURRY CONTAINING NON-NEUTRAL LIQUID AS SOLVENT

PURPOSE:To obviate the need to separate inorg. substances and to impart acid and alkali resisting characteristics to a treatment device in a later process by replacing an inorg. slurry solvent containing acid or alkali liq. as a solvent with a neutral solvent. CONSTITUTION:An inorg. slurry treating method which comprises the steps of producing a circulating supply of the inorg. slurry containing a nonneutral liq. as the solvent into a filter; allowing the slurry to flow along one side of the membrane provided in the filter; further allowing the solvent of the inorg. slurry to be permeably passed through the filter membrane from the one side to the other side due to the difference in pressure therebetween during the slurry flow period; and adding to the circulating inorg. slurry a portion of the neutral liq. equivalent to the amt. of the solvent flowing out from the filter.
