PURPOSE:To obtain fiber materials which have a good dispersibility when blended in resin and which can make a molding with excellent mechanical properties, heat resistance, low contractiveness, appearance properties and the like by blending opened cellulose fibers and a specific dispersible modifier at a predetermined ratio and by pelletizing them thereafter. CONSTITUTION:A dispersible modifier used herein is of the type which has at least a viscosity of 3 centimeter poise at a melting point of 230 deg.C or lower and under an ordinary pressure of 140 deg.C and assists in improving the dispersibility of cellulose fibers in resin. It is preferably that the modifier is in particular low density polyethylene, carboxylic acid modified polyethylene, higher fatty acid ester or the like. Then, 0.3-100 pts.wt. of cellulose fibers is mixed in 100 pts.wt. cellulose fibers obtained by opening waste newspaper and, preferably, granulated into an agitating density of 0.09 or more by means of a non-screw typed compressive extruding machine. This blending fiber material is used so that the content of fibers comes to be 2-90wt.% in polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene, vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene/ethyl acrylate copolymer or the like. |
