PURPOSE:To write new waveform data without moving waveform data in a waveform RAM to a discontinuous free area of a waveform RAM as to the musical sound recording and reproducing device which writes the waveform data in the waveform RAM by a transfer circuit and reads the waveform data out of the waveform RAM by a PCM sound source. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with an address conversion part 7 which uses address addresses of the transfer circuit 1 and PCM sound source 3 as virtual addresses and converts the virtual address into real addresses of the waveform RAM 2. The address conversion part 7 constitutes a rewritable conversion table wherein virtual addresses and real addresses are made to correspond to each other and rewrites the contents of the conversion table under the control of a CPU 10 when waveform data in the waveform RAM 2 are deleted or rearranged. |
