<p>PURPOSE:To provide an enlarged image while preserving the gradation change of the image before the enlargement, namely, sharpness at the edge part of the image. CONSTITUTION:At the image processor to enlarge the image by interpolating picture elements, the change of gradation between adjacent picture elements is detected based on RGB digital data (discrete pixel information) and especially, a conversion rate decision part 513 and a change rate setting part 506 adjust the change rate of gradation at the interpolated picture elements corresponding to the degree of the detected gradation change and generate the pixel information corresponding to the interpolated picture elements in correspondence to the adjusted change rate corresponding to an enlargement rate 505.</p> |
