PURPOSE:To attain the transmission of the picture of a response to the other transmission side, together with a conversation according to the convenience of a receiver by synthesizing a picture signal preliminarily stored in a storage device with a voice signal, and outputting it to the other transmission side. CONSTITUTION:When a telephone call is made to the receiver of a TV telephone, normally a changeover switch SW is connected with an image pickup device 10 side, the picture signals during being image picked-up from the image pickup device 10 synthesized with the voice signal during being inputted from a voice inputting device 20 by a picture and voice synthesizer 30, and transmitted to the transmission side. However, in the case of being inconvenient for the receiver to quickly transmit the picture image picked-up by the image pickup device 10 in response to the telephone call, the changeover switch SW is connected with a storage device 1, the picture signal preliminarily image picked-up by the image pickup device 10 and stored in the storage device 1 is synthesized with the voice signal inputted from the voice inputting device 20 by the picture synthesizer 30, and outputted to the transmission side. |
