PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform editing in a short time without requiring skillfulness or intuitioon for the editing by arranging a block as a publishing frame for an article in a virtual layer and pasting an image and characters of the article to a document corresponding to a paper surface according to position data on the block. SOLUTION: An input device 13 performs block coordination on a DB palette 22B, style setting, and the specification of the article to be published, and also inputs setting data to a block arrangement simulation device 23. The block arrangement simulation device 23 generates data on the position where a block read out of a local DB 22 is arranged and stores the data in a memory 24. Then when the arrangement state of the block displayed on a display device 12 by simulation needs to be corrected, correcting operation is performed by a correcting device 27. An automatic pasting/updating device 28 updates respective blocks in the document finally and pastes images into those respective blocks. |
