PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of data at a receiver station by inspecting the data by means of the FCS(fault control sequence) included in the packet sent from a transmitter station. CONSTITUTION:The data A relayed by the communications stations 2 and 3 are transferred to a communications station 4 from a communications station 1. The stations 2 and 3 are referred to as the wired/radio exchange devices 2 and 3 together with the stations 1 and 4 referred to as a transmitter station 1 and a receiver station 4 respectively. The station 1 adds the data A, i.e., the source data to be transmitted and an FCSa calculated to the data A to this data A for production of a source packet to send this packet by wire to the device 2. Therefore the station 4 cancels the FCSa and can detect the data A despite the intervention of both stations 2 and 3. In other words, the original FCS can be directly used for control of errors of the source data at the station 4. Thus the station 4 can detect the data errors occurring in the course of transfer of data. |
