PURPOSE:To obtain an optical-writing optical system capable of performing high-speed writing using light with high efficiency and capable of being reduced in size. CONSTITUTION:The interval and size of the movable mirrors 2 provided in a light path from a light source to a writing medium 4 are substantially corresponding to a pixel density in a main scanning direction. Using a mirror array 1 formed by arranging the movable mirrors 2 in a main scanning direction in a line form and a light-shielding slit 3 having a slit width W corresponding to the size of a pixel in a sub-scanning direction, the movable mirrors 2 are independently deflected in accordance with image information to switch a light (ON) state and a dark (OFF) state, whereby data is optically written by one line on a writing medium 4. Therefore, by combining the mirror array 1 that can control the direction of deflecting light per mirror with the light-shielding slit 3, data for one line can be simultaneously optically written, thus being written at a high speed. The system of a reflection type is enhanced in use efficiency of light and can be sufficiently reduced in size. |
