PURPOSE:To execute the drive of linear motors corresponding to the variation of an operational condition by detecting the flow rate on the surface part of molten metal, transforming it to component flow rates and controlling the current values of two sets of linear motors arranged at mold sides so as to make the component flow rate an aimed value. CONSTITUTION:The linear motors 3F, 3L are arranged at the sides of the mold MD. The flow rates vs1-4 on the surface layer part of molten steel MM are detected with flow rate detecting means 11a-11d, 18a. The flow rates vs1-4 are transformed into plural component flow rates, which are compared with respective aimed values. Energizing means 12a-12d are controlled by a controller 18c so as to make difference with the aimed value zero. When individually adjusting the flow rates in respective parts, the variation of the flow rate propagates to the other part as a disturbance and taking time in adjustment, however at the time of changing the aimed value, the aimed flow rate distribution is automatically and quickly obtd., and the setting, changing and adjustment of the flow rate distribution are easily attained. |
