A slide focus flashlight (10) has a container (12) with an aperture (32) therein, a lamp (24) disposed within the container (12), a reflector (90) disposed within the container (12), and an actuator (34) disposed in the opening (32) of the container (12) for sliding therein and having a first angled surface (114). A conductive shaft (56) is disposed within the container (12), and a slide interface (118) is coupled to the conductive shaft (56). The slide interface (118) has a second angled surface (116) for sliding against the first angled surface (114) of the actuator (34). A power switch (30) is provided for selectively energizing the lamp (24). The slide interface (118), actuator (34) and power switch (30) allow for single-handed focusing and energizing of the flashlight (10). |
