The sidecar wheel (5) has a connecting rod (10) whose first end (11) is pivoted to a piece (12) displaceable with the position of handlebars (3). A pivoting return piece (14) has a first branch (15) linked to the connecting rod second end (13) and perpendicular to it when driving in a straight line. A second connecting rod (17) has a first end (18) pivoted on the return piece second branch (16). A control arm (20) is rigidly connected to the wheel stub axle. When the handlebar is in the straight line driving position the sidecar wheel is also in the straight line position. When the return piece second branch and the second connecting rod are in alignment, the handlebar is pivoted towards the left from a dead point angle between 2 deg and 5 deg . In this position the side car wheel is in its maximum left lock position by a locking angle (- beta ) between 1 deg and 6 deg .
