The invention features a container (1) for the temporary storage and transport of heat-sensitive products under conditions such that there is no break in the chain of required temperatures, particularly applicable to unstable blood products when they are being transported from centralised blood banks to surgical centres or even within the same facility from the storage area to the various operating theatres. The said container consists of an isothermal, sealed box (2) opening at the top, connected to a motor-compressor unit (9) generating inside the box (2) negative kilo calories to a set temperature. The box (2) is equipped with a calorie-generating unit (10) which stirs the air inside the box (2) to provide for a rapid adjustment of the internal temperature to a preset value in the range of -30 DEG C to +40 DEG C.
