The fastening for a component (1) consists of /-2 locking elements (5,7) which face outwards and engage with holes (9,11) in the supporting surface (13). The locking elements are fixed in place by means of expanders which move them outwards when a pressure is applied to the component (1). The expanders have a general shape in the form of an inverted Y, the foot of which is attached to the component (1) and the tips to the locking elements. When the component is pressed towards the supporting surface and the locking elements move outwards, catches (26,27; 33,35) on the locking elements and component and engage with one another to fix the component in place.
