The floor structure is for a balcony on a building. The floor slab (1) has a flat surface layer (4) resting on a top stringer or structural member (5), which is connected by corrugated webs (2) to the bottom stringer or structural member (7). The surface layer on top of the top stringer may consist of stone flags or a known granular material. The top stringer may be of non-metallic construction and the bottom stringer may be of metallic or non-metallic construction. The edges (10) of the floor slab may be faced with a metal layer (11) and contain a filling material (8).
