Multilayer composite film (I), comprising a film or film combination (A) made up of plastic and/or metal layers in any order, with a biaxially oriented heat-sealing layer (C) at least 10 microns thick consisting mainly of polyethylene homo- or co- polymer and attached to (A) by means of an adhesive or other joining layer (B).
