Optical data card reader

The card reader has transportation system consisting of a pair of conveyor belt loops 12. The loops are arranged in parallel so the card is engaged when inserted through a front slot 4. The card is fed between guides 8. One of the belt wheels 14 is coupled to a motor 3. One or both sides of the card is optically scanned by CCD read heads 6',6". A sensor 7 is installed in the entry slot region and is used for checking the card material.
