PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the switching system of the network in which high speed switching is conducted with inexpensive configuration. SOLUTION: An edge switch S3 stores routing information being path information up to a destination terminal equipment T1 to a routing table 3, and an address retrieval section 2 retrieves the routing table 3 corresponding to an address of the destination terminal equipment T1 to obtain routing information corresponding to the destination terminal equipment T1. The routing information is added to a transmission packet and the resulting packet is sent and a switching section 1 of a center switch S4 conducts switching processing based on the routing information added to the transmission packet.
