A canopy scaffold (10) for a boat has a central to an arch bent rod-member, for instance a plastic metal pipe (1), and a canvas or tarpaulin (3) having a centrally sewn pocket (6) in which the rod-member is received. At its ends the rod-member is received in hook-like securing means (5) for instance for fastening to the boat's pulpit. The side-edges of the canvas or tarpaulin have a means in which securing ropes (13) are attached. A rod-member bent to an arch of this kind will give the biggest height of fall where the boat has its greatest width. The number of securing points are minimized and a resilient tightening of the canopy scaffold is obtained. |
