<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a propylene homo- or co-polymer wax having a high hardness, a good thermal stability and a specific very low viscosity by a polymerization in the presence of hydrogen and a metallocene to give the viscosity. SOLUTION: This propylene wax having a viscosity of <100 mPas (170 deg.C) is obtained by polymerizing (A) propylene in the presence of (B) hydrogen, (D) a metallocene and, if necessary, (C) a 2-18C olefin or diolefin as a comonomer. The component D is expressed by the formula (M<1> is a metal in the group IVb, Vb or VIb in the periodic table, such as titanium or zirconium; R<1> , R<2> are each H, a 1-10C, preferably 1-3C, alkyl, especially methyl, a 1-10C, preferably 1-3C, alkoxy or the like; R<3> , R<4> are each a monocyclic or multicyclic hydrocarbon residue capable of forming a sandwich structure together with the central atom M<1> ).</p> |
