PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a color display liquid crystal display element having a good display performance and a high yield. SOLUTION: An active matrix substrate 11 whose one principal surface scan lines and signal lines arranged like a matrix and switching elements are provided on, a counter substrate 1 which has a common electrode positioned on one principal surface, a color filter 6 arranged on at least one of the active matrix substrate 11 and the counter substrate 1, a light shielding layer arranged in the peripheral part of this color filter, and a liquid crystal material which is arranged between the active matrix substrate 11 and the counter substrate 1 with a space material between them are provided. An inter-layer 8 is arranged in a part other than the wiring pattern in the vicinity of the charging hole through which the liquid crystal material is charged. |
