PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display(LCD) device and production thereof with which a defective section can be relieved even when there is any defect at one part of a driving circuit, the reduction of yield caused by the definition improvement of the driving circuit or increase in the number of elements can be prevented, the driving characteristics of the driving circuit can be compensated and strengthened so as to provide performance improvement and characteristic uniformity and further the narrow framing of a driving circuit area can be achieved. SOLUTION: An array element 6 is formed at a central section 3a on the main side of a first substrate 3, and a first driving circuit 7 is formed around the central section 3a on the main side. On the first driving circuit 7, a second driving circuit 7 produced through the same semiconductor production process as the first substrate 3 is placed in counter to the first driving circuit while having a wiring pattern in the mirror relation with the wiring pattern of the first driving circuit 7. The first and second driving circuits 7 and 13 are electrically connected.
