PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically eliminate the slack of a web supplying a releasing agent to the surface of a fixing roller in a fixing device. SOLUTION: The fixing device is constituted by being provided with the fixing roller heating and pressuring a toner image transferred on a recording medium and fixing it on the recording medium in cooperation with a pressure roller, the sheet-like web 113 impregnated with the releasing agent and pressed by a pressing roller so as to supply the releasing agent to the surface of the fixing roller, a first shaft 114 where the unused part of the web 113 is wound round, a second shaft rotated by a rotation driving means so as to take up the web 113 after the releasing agent is supplied to the fixing roller and a coil spring 120 imparting tensile force to the web 113 by giving rotational force in a direction being reverse to the drawing-out direction of the web 113 to the first shaft 114.
